Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Denuvo DRM Cracked in 37 Days

Suggested Pre-read: We briefly discussed Denuvo’s ongoing troubles with the hypervisor bypass in this previous post.

Suggested Pre-read: voices38 strikes again, but Denuvo managed to hold out a lot longer this time around.

Introduction

Released just over a month ago (July 9, 2026) across Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is the latest victim at the hands of the GOAT of game pirates. The fact that Denuvo was able to hang in there for over a month shows they have had solid success here, as their claim to fame remains protecting the initial sale period.

Crack

The highly popular pirate voices38 specifically targets Denuvo protected games and consistently finds ways to break through their defenses. voices38 cracked the predecessor, AC Shadows, but that took 16 months, so Denuvo had massive success there unless voices38 did not really target it until much later. For now, let us presume Denuvo managed some incredible success there.

By the way, the success here is by no means to be dismissed. Denuvo being able to hold out against a crack for 37 days is incredibly good in today’s landscape, especially given how skilled voices38 is and the alternate threats (like the hypervisor bypass) hovering around.

A hypervisor bypass method did emerge about a month ago, on day two, in fact, but as we have discussed in the past, these techniques remain notoriously complex due to the virtualization layer.
